"Oozing Wound have matured without losing sight of the frayed ends that make their music interesting. The band didn’t need to be a part of a dying, irrelevant movement; they’ve got what it takes to make one for themselves."- Pitchfork
Chicago's Oozing Wound are Zack Weil, guitar and screams,
Kevin Cribbin on bass, and brand new drummer John Casey Morenachos.
They spent four days getting a studio tan at Minbal Studios in Chicago to record the new album Whatever Forever with recording engineer Matt Russell, which is four times as long as it took the band to record its 2013 debut Retrash. Russell mixed the album and it was mastered by Heba Kadry at Timeless Mastering.
The band describes the album, "Whatever Forever", as "Tipper Gore’s worst fears incarnate. A horrifying concoction of apathy and malaise wrapped in a delectable sheet of hatred, drowned in a bath of contempt represented here by club sauce. Great for parties, ask your caterer for details."
Thrill Jockey did an interview with the band which you can read in it's entirety here.

"Oozing Wound have deserved more attention for their intensely fun and intensely intense music, and if it includes more like this,Whatever Forever may just deliver those listeners."-Consequence of Sound
